It's been soooooooooooooooooooo long!!! 3 years! That's crazy!! Well I'll try to run thru my updates as quickly as possible...first...guess what?!?! I GRADUATED!!! LOL. I graduated December 06, with my degree in Electrical Engineering! For a while after graduation I wasn't sure what task I wanted to embark on next....temporarily I did some part time work in the Education area, while keeping my part time position as a co op! That was one of the best things I could have done. There were a few promising( well what seemed like promising interviews) but the best had yet to come! After having been out of school for about 6 months, and still working as a co op a position finally became available at GD, and I jumped at the chance! Of course, I was a little nervous at first, but I was truly grateful for the opportunity to prove myself! And that I did! Even after my first few weeks I was receiving great acclaim! But the best part is that I LOVE the work. So since Sept. 07 I've been working as a Test Engineer. I develop test software for the electrical units that go into the tanks! Thank God for a great job! Well Vernon is definitely still in the picture, and we are doing as great as one can! We've been holding it down for a good while now, so I'm gladly looking forward to our future together! Ummm...i dont know what else to update you on 'blogger'. lol. ill be back soon, and it'll definltye be less than 3 years! The Olympics in Beijing ended recently, and that was a great two weeks of TV! I was so proud of JAMAICA's performance! It was beautiful! Can't wait till bobsledding during th winter! LOL The family is doing well! They are the best! LATER!

Ok, so its been like almost a year. I never come on this thing until I'm bored and have nothing to do. So...it's 12 midnight, and I am in Albany, with Vernon. But he's snoring his life away...as usual. I just finished up my third year of studies, as a Computer Engineering student. This year has been quite a workload, these classes are definitley 'no joke'. As for my grades so far: Circuits 2, B; Microprocessors Lab, B; Micro Class, C,(thank GOD for that); Circuits Lab, B. I am still waiting on my grades for E-Math II and Econ. So...tomorrow officially starts spring break, adn what am I doing.... NOTHING! How long have I been looking for a summer internship?!?! Like forever. I've had a few interviews but still no offers. It seems like everyone else gets these internships that cover everything and then some..but i guess that isn;t my story. Well I have an interview coming up so let's pray that will work out! I think alot has changed since my last post, but i dont know where to start. O, I still have no where to live in the fall! What am I gonna do!? Thats all for now... -melissa

Well, it has really been quite a while since I've checked in here. Over a year.
I am now in the College of Engineering and am enjoying my coursework, but you sure couldnt tell by my test grades. I never imagined school being such a strain, but i know its worth it. First of all, I am talking Engineering Math I, Circuits I, Thermodynamics, and Digital Logic and Design. This has truly been my most difficult semester. I;ve never felt so discouraged so often. I really want to be an engineer! Guess I have to just keep pressing along. But I know that God will take me over this hurdle so I am not worried.
Let's see what else is new...vbeback later gotta go to work.

Hey im back for a few minutes. I got my grade for my physics midterm, didn' t look to good. I also didnt do good on my programming midterm either. And also on my cal 2 midterm. I don't know what is wrong wiht me. I study, and I still don't do good. I feel like a failure sometimes. Well compared to the rest of the class. i dont feel so bad on the grades I received. It's just that I'm used to doing A work. It's not like I'm not studying hard. lm always in the library. id otn know what to do.
i have a very complicated program due on friday and i haven't started. Vernon was here this weekend and we had a great time. I love him alot because he really helps me when I feeling down about my classes. Sometimes I wonder who would do that for me if he wasn't there. I also have lab a little and thats gonna be so boring. I am ready for this semester to be over, its been too much work. My professor is talking and I'm not paying him any attention. Well talk to you soon. bye.

Wow, i haven't been here in so long, i didn't know that the site got a face lift!!
Well the spring semester has begun and it is definitely alot of work. My hardest classes are Calc II and Physics. I mean they aren't that bad I guess I need to study more. I also am in a intro to C programming, and it is going pretty well. Lets see what else is new with me. Ive moved into a new apt, Polo Club, I was living in Jefferson Pointe but that was working. My roommates are great and I like it here, no stress. As for my old roommates, who knows where they are.
O!! I have a car. Thank God!!! My dad left his car for me to use until they come and take it away, lol. But I am definitely enjoying having his car, it sure beats taking the bus. And I love ht efact taht I don't have to depend on anyone to get where I need to go, well physically at least. lol. school as really been alot of work. I started watching this new show, well new to me, called Trading Spaces and While You Were OUt. I'm like addicted to them.
I still go with my boyfriend Vernon, hes up in Albany going to school. Ive visited a couple of times. It seems even countrier than tallahassee, is that even possible!?
Another thing, I'm starting to join more things. I've joined the Nat'l Society of Black Engineers, and the Stratus Mentoring Program and T.O.R.C.H where i volunteer teaching kids basic computer concepts.
The year has been going pretty well i just wish i was doing a little better in my harder classes. Ive been going to Ray of Hope Methodist Church, its nice and i like it.
Well u think im going to start a paper thats due tomorrow. its been nice talking to u lol.
